Wax Print Peplum Skirt + Graphic Tee

It’s Juneteenth baby! I won’t give you a long history lesson about “Freedom Day”, but what I will say is that this outfit made me feel so celebratory. It’s amazing how your vibration shifts when you’re clothed in batik prints!

Getting into wax print isn’t necessarily a new thing for me, seeing my mother embrace the vivid fabric when I was younger—but finding a way to rock it my way is def a fresh, fun experience.

I lucked up with Grass Fields, an amazing Ankara clothier out of Edinburg—with all the pieces made in Cameroon. And believe me, they’ve got some pieces y’all!

I paired this beautifully bold skirt with a “Woman of God” tee from God is Dope, a local, black owned company here in Atlanta.

How’d I do?
