My 35th Birthday Trip to Cancun

On April 3, I turned 35 years old. Whew! ðŸŽ‰For my birthday, I took a four-day girls trip to Cancun, Mexico… And without getting too sappy, the trip and this milestone has been such a turning point for me.

Already I feel that this year is so rewarding and a springboard to all of the amazing things that are sure to come out of my life. I didn’t always feel this way, but the trip and this age are the stuff of revitalization.

This post, however is going to be about all of the outfits and fun we had in Cancun. I promise to lace you with the deets in case you want to replicate some of the looks that you saw on my Instagram during the time I was in Cancun.

Like with any trip, I planned for months… I am talking outfits, shoes, excursions, resort, invites… All of that! Don’t we do this and don’t we love it?! I definitely enjoyed planning my girls trip and I can’t wait for the opportunity to plan another.

We stayed at the Breathless Riviera Cancun, which looked like the pictures and didn’t disappoint. Quite honestly, I enjoyed the hell out of it! The rooms were posh, the staff was friendly, the food choices were great–even for the pickier eaters in my group. As an added bonus–because I hate crowds–the resort itself was spacious without being overwhelmingly large. I should also mention that it was an adults-only space, which I appreciated for the turn up 😉.

When we arrived, I immediately went full vaycay mode and changed right into my swimsuit. Find the deets of this suit and others below.

I’m wearing a Cameron – one piece from Matte Collection. I grabbed this suit from Matte Collection, which I’d never before tried and LOVED. Def a frugal fashion find.

I found a ton of other really cute items for the trip, incredibly under $25, like my one-color bikini tops and bottoms from Walmart priced at $4.99 each. So, you know I grabbed as many colors as possible and decided to mix and match them.

The cover-up came from Forever 21 and while sold out, I’ll see if I can find comparable ones for you *wink.* To preserve my hair and also be summer chic, I popped on a flexible turban, paired with huge sunnies and extra jewelry for more fun!

As mentioned, I was soooo blessed to have my girls with me. Whew the epic-ness of it all. I was so grateful.

My $4.99 pieces from Walmart make an appearance again in black.

We didn’t miss a Cancun moment! We def did snorkeling, ATV riding and zip lining. It was a blast!!!

God is soooo good! Happy 35 to me!
