Soooo my dogs are spoiled…
I mean, that’s not news to me at all–but I figured I’d share just in case you didn’t gather that on your own (you would have eventually, lol). Speaking of my spoiled GiGi and NiNo, their headquarters are smack dab in the center of my laundry room and for years they’d been roughing it with the same beds and decor. I really wanted to upgrade their space, but in all my early searching, I didn’t found something that I felt would be super functional (for their comfort and level of roughhousing) and chic (for my tastes). Most items were too big, too drab, too flimsy, or just plain ol’ ugly.
Alas! I stumbled across a beautiful sofa that I thought would be perfect to center their upgrade around. This item, from Joss & Main, is appropriately called a Devin Yorkshire Dog Sofa. And isn’t it a beaut?
I will admit, my puparoos were not as thrilled to have something new as I was–especially NiNo, but he’s rarely thrilled about anything, honestly. In their defense, the new sofa doesn’t smell like them or remind them of their things at all. Well, that’s just fine! They’ll have to get used to it sometime in the near future because this couch is not going anywhere. (Disclaimer: both dogs are getting haircuts this weekend…they look wild, I know lol ;-P)
I could not be more in love with the color and texture of this sofa. It’s a bold and beautiful shade a fuchsia, but is labeled as “hot pink.” They also have it in gray and navy shades. I could have gone for either of those, but there’s just something about any hue of pink that just tickles my spirit! (That was suuuuch a granny line!)
Here’s my older pooch GiGi looking quite terrified of, more than likely, my camera and NOT her new couch. They both had to give it a test drive.
I will say that I don’t know that my pups sleep on this couch as much as I would have initially hoped. Maybe they do and I just haven’t caught them dozing off on it yet. Because the cushion isn’t the thickest on the planet and for all intents and purposes, designed primarily for ‘sitting,’ I added a gel foam pillow to the sofa to make it prime for puppy snoozing. Spoiled, like I said.
