Happy Fourth of July, sweet dahhhhhlings! I hope you are in the company of family and friends. I hope you are dressed in your most fab shades of red, white and blue too!
As for me…well, every since my father passed away nearly three years ago–my sisters, mom & I don’t celebrate holidays much. We don’t have a huge extended family close by so we miss out on a lot of holiday festivities. No biggie–I have ton of memories to last me for years and I don’t ever worry about holidays–I use them to rest! BUT, this year I was invited to TWO barbecues and I won’t lie…I was excited!
Egads! I had no holiday gear. I thought back to year’s past where I always had a family reunion ‘fit, brand new, crisp and ironed–ready to show off. No such scenario this year. In blows a great idea–keeping it simple.
I created this holiday look with literally a tank top, jean shorts (a closet staple for summertime) and a few scarves from my local beauty supply. I am not sure your stores carry the same type of items, but I dropped some links below that I think you will love. I know this year’s Fourth of July has come and gone, but consider this look for labor day or next year’s Memorial Day and July 4th fun!
