So I am trying braids for a few months and while they are sooo beautiful, I can’t help but think they are just not my thing…yet. I really can’t explain other than it is a look that takes me so far away from what I am used to seeing in my reflection (even though I rocked braids harder than Brandy when I was in junior high and high school). In any case, I am getting myself used to the braids by playing up my beauty and femininity with doll-like dresses. This metallic midi was one of my favorite finds, and only $18. Don’t choke, I lie not…under $20 and not an iota short of being top quality.
The price of this dress totally makes me dance because it was a great find and fits uber well. It’s true to its “knit” name; it sparkles like you wouldn’t believe, and hugs the curves better than a BMW Roadster. Yep, I said it. While its made of a lightweight sweater material, I can still see myself rocking this on a cooler spring night and maybe again at the start of winter with a heavy coat or blazer. For the purpose of this post, I paired this dress with tall suede boots with gold hardware, heavy bangles and style-emitting hoop earrings.
